Laurence has been an e-learning consultant for the past 22 years. Previously he was Director of a large UK employment agency.
In March 2002 he was granted the certificate shown left - for completion of project work at the Masie Center NY, USA. (See Masie) So far he has served 20 years of a potentially lifelong apprenticeship in distance and technology-based learning in Europe and the USA. For 12 years before that he was employed as HR Director in UK commercial companies. In the 1950’s and 60’s he learned about life and work, being raised in County Durham in the North East of England.
His work revolves around the successful, practical implementation of e-learning opportunities for life, education, training and work.

This involved recruiting and training a team of Sales Executives, Telesales and Administration personnel. Products were high level training programmes for IT Professionals, at first on video, then CD-ROM and finally on the Internet. These were sold on an annual subscription basis. Clients received 6 one hour programmes every month. Clients were the largest corporations in Europe – commercial, industrial and government. The subject matter of the training programmes was the latest innovations in computing and communication technologies. Acted as Executive Producer on the production of a CD-ROM programme which covered the 1996 European IT Professionals Forum in Paris. Speakers were Bill Gates (Microsoft), Scott McNealy (Sun Microsystems), Larry Ellison (Oracle Corporation) and many other top speakers.
